The Advanced Ballistic Systems Level IIIA High Cut ACH Helmet is our top-of-the-line ballistic helmet designed for special operation missions. This helmet features side rails, 3 hole NVG shroud, loop panels, bungee cords and a ratcheting retention system. The low-profile high-cut design provides easy access to radio headsets, reduced weight, and easy target acquisition without interference. NIJ Threat Protection Chart ('06 and '04)*

* There is no difference in threat between the NIJ ’04 and NIJ ’06 standards. The differences are in the rigorous nature of the test protocols.

  • 04 requires 9 plates tested while 06 is 24
  • 04 conditioning requires water “spray” for 6 minutes while 06 is submerged in water for 30 minutes with a 10 minute drip period
  • 06 also requires a 10 day tumble (149F,80%hum), 1 day of thermal exposure (5-194F,0-80%hum) as well as a mechanical durability test (drop)

    I searched high and low for an NIJ certified helmet that was actually in stock. On my door in two days and couldn’t be happier with the quality. Wish I could get a couple more but can’t right now.

    Got my helmet and was bummed that it did not fit, too small. To me surprise, got customer service right away and got it replaced. The whole process took less than a week to get straightened out.  Got exactly what I wanted, and TIMELY.

    Great helmet at a fair price

    Received my helmet today. Box was a bit banged up by UPS, which concerned me.  But after I looked, helmet was in perfect condition and exactly as advertised.  Packaging inside box was great, and got here quickly.
